Barbados' coral reefs are the island's foundation. Join any dive centre of your choice to learn about these reefs, their inhabitants and how we can play our part in protecting them.

This is the perfect opportunity to try something out of the ordinary. Dive centres will be offering unique dives at sites rarely visited outside of Dive Fest.

Divers Trivia Night
Join us for a fun-filled, dive-themed trivia night fundraiser on Monday, August 17th at 6pm on
Savvy-On-The-Bay's Tree Top Lounge! All proceeds will be going
towards supporting our marine parks and other BDOA initiatives through the purchase of mooring line supplies.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase from Savvy’s
food trucks and bar throughout the evening.
Individuals & Teams of 2 - 6 participants are invited to register in advance by emailing the
DiveFest team (divefestbarbados@gmail.com) so that seating and venue arrangements can be
organized accordingly. Individual participants will either be grouped together to form a team or
added to existing teams.
A participation fee of $20 BDS (cash only) per person will be collected.
Throughout the evening, our Quizmaster will guide teams through a series of fun and engaging
dive-themed trivia rounds. Answer sheets and pencils will be provided, and teams will work
together to answer questions - no phones allowed!
Points will be awarded throughout the quiz, and at the end of the night the team with the highest
score will be crowned the winners and receive a prize. The team finishing second-last will also
walk away with a special "Booby Prize"! Everyone will leave a winner as each player will also
receive a Day-Pass voucher for Savvy-On-The-Bay to be used at a future date

The Photography Competition is a fun opportunity to showcase your skills with a camera and the incredible diversity of Barbados' marine life while encouraging divers to get out and explore our reefs and wrecks.

Submit your best photo or video to this year's Hidden Gems Photography Competition.

Post your best photo or video of any of the underwater wonders that you consider to be a hidden gem, and caption the post Hidden Gems #DiveFestBarbados2026. Your caption should also include your dive dates and which dive shop you were participating with. For entries to be eligible, they must be submitted by 11 pm on Wednesday, 20th August.

Lionfish are not native to Caribbean reefs and disrupt the balance of our ecosystems. Grab a spear and help us keep this invasive species' population under control. Prizes are available for the largest and smallest lionfish caught during the hunt, so be sure to measure your catch.

Closing Ceremony

Each participant will receive an Underwater Bingo Card featuring 25 marine creatures commonly found around Barbados. Your challenge is simple: photograph as many of these creatures as possible during your dives throughout DiveFest.
How It Works
1.	Ensure your camera is set to today’s date.
2.	Take your bingo card diving with you.
3.	Photograph any of the featured marine creatures shown on the card.
4.	Each creature must be clearly identifiable in your photo.
5.	Submit your photos by email to divefestbarbados@gmail.com along with your name, contact info, dive dates, and dive operator.
6.	Prizes will be awarded during DiveFest’s closing Ceremonies on Aug 22nd
